Beginnings
Trained at the University of Vienna as a General Practitioner and in Traditional Chinese Medicine including a study stay in China. The early focus was on the connection between psyche and health. General medical practice began with a focus on internal medicine, traumatology, and family medicine in the Salzburg region.
Previously
Trained as a specialist in sports physiology at the University of Vienna and served as a trusted physician for many successful top athletes and record holders. Ran intensive research at the Olympic Training Centre in Obertauern, on the factors of talent, motivation, and the physician-athlete relationship across sports with a range of athletes. Cooperated and carried out research work with Prof. Bengt Saltin at the Copenhagen Muscle Research Centre (CMRC). Published scientific research on muscle metabolism in top international journals. Rehabilitated the skier, Hermann Maier, and many other athletes as a trusted physician, coordinating and implementing holistic measures from conventional medicine, complementary medicine, and mental coaching. Established the Centre for Health and Sports in Bad Hofgastein, focusing on the health prevention of individuals, the development of competitive athletes, and the rehabilitation of patients. Due to increasing demand, began sharing knowledge and experience through lectures and seminars. Began lecturing at the University of Vienna for sports physiology and performance diagnostics in 2006. Book author.
